Welcome to Naropa's Non-degree For-Credit registration page!
 
This page is for non-Naropa students wishing to earn Academic Credit from a selection of Naropa courses! If you are interested in taking an online course, please visit the Public Registration Course Lists on the Public Registration page for more information.

  • Any individual who isn't already working toward a degree at Naropa can register to take For-Credit courses as a non-degree seeking student. 
  • Registration can be done through the Non-Degree For-Credit Registration Form.
  • Non-degree students can take up to 11 credits per semester. If you are interested in taking more than 11 credits, you will need to visit the Admissions tab to apply to as a Visiting Student.
The academic schools within Naropa have designated a certain number of courses as available to the public. To find which classes are available to the public, click on the printable Registration Schedules & Catalog link found on the MyNaropa homepage. You will find a PDF document that lists all courses that have been designated as Courses Available to the Public for Academic Credit.
 
If you wish to take a course that is not on the list, you must fill out and submit an Addendum to Non-Degree Registration form. This forms requires both the instructor and School Director permission before you will be registered for the course.
  • If a class has a pre-requisite or special requirement, the student is responsible for confirming with the instructor that they are properly prepared for the course and informing the Registration Office of the approval.
  • Students who fail to confirm with the instructor prior to registering run the risk of being dropped from the class and asked to leave the course. Note: Faculty emails can be found under course information using the Course Search option on the homepage of MyNaropa.
  • Non-degree for-credit students are added into classes on a space-available basis on the first day of classes. If there are open seats on the first day of classes, you will be registered into the course. You will be notified via email whether or not you have been registered. 
  • If there are no seats available, you will not be registered and your tuition will be refunded if you have chosen to pre-pay while registering.
  • You can track a enrollment numbers for course by using the Course Search option found on the homepage of MyNaropa.
  • Tuition for academic credit at Naropa is $995 per credit. For example, if you are interested in earning credit for a 3-credit on-campus course, the cost would be $2985.
  • If you want to register for non-credit at $250 per class, visit our Public Registration Non-Credit form.  
Current University of Colorado students interested in taking Tibetan or Sanskrit classes do receive discounted tuition for those courses. Be sure to indicate that you are a CU student when registering. You will be asked to provide your CU student number for us to verify your current student status.
If you need to cancel a for-credit registration as a non-degree student , please email registration@naropa.edu by the end of the drop/add period for the semester - January 26th is the Spring 2017 drop/add deadline. A full refund will be given for requests received by January 26th, 2017.
 
Refunds for requests made after January 27th, will be based on Naropa's drop/withdrawal schedule. No partial refunds will be given and no requests to withdraw will be granted after February 24th, 2017.

No, once registered for this class you cannot opt to take the class for non-credit at a later date. 

Payment at the time of registration is strongly encouraged, and it is the responsibility of the individual students to ensure they do not carry a balance. Upon request, hand written receipts are provided.  Please note that for non-degree students, not billing statements are issued.
