Naropa University's School of Extended Studies offers a number of non-credit certificates, national and international conferences and continuing education programs. In addition to our on-going certificate program Authentic Leadership, we have co-sponsored conferences such as Wisdom 2.0, Legacy of Wisdom and weekend workshops with Joanna Macy and Michael Meade. For detailed information, please visit the Extended Studies page on the Naropa website.

Extended Studies sells a limited number of non-credit seats on our regular academic courses. Please visit the schedule of Courses Available for Non Credit page for further information on courses with seats available to the public. Then register here for the selected courses. If the course has prerequisites or other restrictions as indicated in this schedule, it is strongly encouraged that a non-degree student contact the department or instructor to determine if the student is adequately prepared for the course. If the course specifies that permission of department is required, the student must obtain written permission.

For further information, please contact us at registration@naropa.edu.

Only certain classes are open to the public to take for non-credit. Any courses not listed on the schedule of Courses Available for Non-Credit are unavailable to take for non-credit.

Most non-credit classes are $250 per class or $200 for weekend classes, plus any associated materials fees, for most residential courses that are offered for non-credit. Once you have completed theExtended Studies Registration form, you will be asked to select a payment method. Payment options include: check by mail, credit card, or electronic check. All payments are due by the Friday prior to the start of class. For spring 2017, this is January 13th, 2017.
Taking a class noncredit means that you are not responsible for fulfilling the academic requirements for the class, and you are not graded for your participation. As a result, you will not nor will you be able to in the future, receive academic credit for your participation should you choose to enroll noncredit now. It is not possible to "upgrade" a noncredit class in order to receive academic credit.
To register, you will fill out an online Extended Studies Non-Credit Registration form.
After filling out an Extended Studies Non Credit Registration form, Naropa's Registration office will email you within 3 business days to let you know if you have been added to a class as a non-credit student. If you are not registered due to lack of space in a course, your credit card will be refunded.
